Our mission
EDH Lens makes it easier to find exactly the Commander cards you are looking for.
Scryfall provides extraordinarily powerful search tools and an immense depth of card data.
However, its search syntax can take time to learn, and the sheer number of available options
can make it difficult to know where to begin.
EDH Lens builds on Scryfall’s data and makes it more approachable through an easy-to-use
visual interface. Categories, filters, curated relationships, and additional discovery
signals help you explore the same rich card pool without having to construct queries.
Our long-term goal is to build the most complete and accessible view of the Magic card pool
possible—bringing together card characteristics, functions, relationships, and relevant
discovery signals. By making this information easier to navigate, we want to provide the
strongest possible foundation for informed, creative deck building.
Why we built it
EDHREC has become an invaluable part of Commander deck building—and for good reason. It is
excellent at identifying synergies and recommending cards that work well with a particular
commander.
But recommendations can only show a limited part of Magic’s enormous card pool. Popular
staples naturally appear frequently, while lesser-known cards may remain hidden even when
they would be a perfect fit for your deck.
With tens of thousands of cards available, nobody can know every possible option. Sometimes
you already know the role your deck needs—you just do not yet know the card that can fill it.
EDH Lens is designed to help bridge that gap.
